Sell to Sellers: Why Partnering With Businesses That Have Buyers Beats Starting From Zero

Building an audience from nothing is slow. Ads cost money before they make any. Cold outreach to end customers is a grind. There's a faster path, and it's the one Travis Sago keeps coming back to: work with the sellers who already have the buyers.

Become a new customer broker

When you talk to a business owner, you don't need to say the word licensing. The pitch is much simpler: I'll bring you new customers, with no risk and no money up front, and you pay me a share after the customer pays you. Travis calls this being a new customer broker, because new customers are what owners think about all day.

It works because the business already has what you'd struggle to build: a product people buy, a team to deliver it, and a reputation. You bring the asset or the marketing that unlocks more of it.

You get to choose

This isn't about taking any partner who'll say yes. A good partner usually has a clearly different concept from competitors, more than one product or service, a steady flow of leads, and a few years in business. Do your research before you reach out. The quality of the partner decides the quality of the deal.

List three businesses in a market you understand that fit that description. Coaches, local service businesses and newsletter owners are all good places to start.
